Mikhael Kirichenko — Seven years
Childhood autism with delayed speech and intellectual development
Rehabilitation in the center of Saint Sophia
Spring 2025.
Mikhael is a boy from Ukraine who will soon celebrate his seventh birthday. He is a kind and sincere child, but unfortunately, he has been diagnosed with a rare form of childhood autism, associated with intellectual disability and delayed speech development.
Mikhael's life began promisingly – he was born a healthy, strong boy into a loving family. Initially, his development progressed normally, he played with peers and began to pronounce individual words.
However, when Mikhael was one and a half years old, his behavior changed drastically. He lost interest in the outside world and playing with other children, stopped talking and developing. He became irritable and angry for no apparent reason. Mikhael's mother, concerned about her son's condition, sought medical help. They visited many doctors, but often received reassuring but inaccurate statements that the child's condition was temporary and would soon improve.
Unfortunately, time passed, but Mikhael's condition did not improve; on the contrary, he became increasingly withdrawn and stopped communicating even with his parents. Despite various rehabilitation programs, his condition did not change.
Only at the age of five was Mikhael diagnosed with childhood autism with delayed speech and intellectual development. After the diagnosis, Mikhael's mother began actively searching for a rehabilitation center that could help her son. Based on feedback from other parents, she decided to consult her son at St. Sophia's Children's Rehabilitation Center.
During the consultation with the center's neurologist, Mikhael's mother was promised help in correcting her child's behavior. This center (https://bernucentr.lv/) specializes in the rehabilitation of children with such disorders. The center's specialists use the most modern behavioral correction methods, which yield good results.
The neurologist prescribed a rehabilitation course for Mikhael, which included neurodynamic gymnastics, brain bioacoustic correction, micropolarization, sessions in the sensory room, and consultations with a speech therapist and an ABA therapist. Such comprehensive rehabilitation helps children with special needs integrate into society.
We can help Mikhael complete this rehabilitation course. The course fee is 1900 euros. Our foundation and Mikhael's parents urge all interested people to help raise money for Mikhael's rehabilitation.
You can quickly and easily donate on the foundation's website www.deti-help.com with the note "For Mikhael Kirichenko."
